Who i am

My name is T. J. Alex. I have been writing since I was 10 years old, and started dabbling in screenplay writing around 2004.

I discovered early on that I have a gift for helping producers, directors, and writers make their stories better.

Since then, I’ve authored a book on screenplay formatting, taught screenplay writing classes, helped producers in Los Angeles re-write their scripts, and worked as a high-priced screenplay analyst.

Around 2021, I decided to move toward indie film producing. But I discovered the barriers for making a living at it, much less making a nice profit from the films I would produce, are high and wide. Filmmaking is a business meant to cater to the rich and powerful Hollywood elite.

I spent a few years looking for ways around these barriers, but couldn’t help thinking that there had to be a better way.

Then I discovered the idea behind FADE IN+, a streaming app that would help bridge the gap between indie filmmakers and the large studios.

The idea stems from both my love of filmmaking and movies and my natural desire to make the world a better place.

I’ve talked to very few people about the idea, but everyone who hears the pitch — from producers to directors to streaming app designers — all have the same response: “Wow. This is new. This has never been done before.”

It won’t be easy to build. It will cost a lot of money to build a streaming app the likes of which the world has never seen.

But with a dedicated community of indie filmmakers and independent film enthusiasts, I know we can make it happen.
